Supporting Local Charities in Asia

The aim of http://www.ethicalasia.com/ is to have a positive social and economic impact on Asia whilst running a profitable global business. We therefore support local charities in the region and initially we have specifically chosen two very worthy organisations. As the business grows we hope to be able to support more charitable causes as there are many more in Asia doing fantastic work.

The two charities we have chosen are the Karen Hillside Trust and the Sunshine Children's Village, links to both these charities can be seen from the link section for blog and more information is also available on the Charity Page of http://www.ethicalasia.com/.

Grand Opening

Welcome to the first entry in the Ethical Asia blog; the official blog for http://www.ethicalasia.com/.

We sell a range of interesting and authentic products imported into the UK from all over Asia ranging from wallets and bags made from recycled fish feed sacks to authentic Cambodian Krama scarfs. Our aim is to source our stock at fair prices from the network of local manufacturers and distributers, rather than cutting out the supply chain and putting price pressure on the manufacturers. This way we aim to have an overall positive economic and social impact on the countries where we source products, some of which being some of the poorest countries in the world.

We also donate a proportion of profits to Charitable causes in the region and initially we are supporting two foundations, one in Cambodia and another in Thailand.

Information on our product range:

Phnom Penh's Russian Market sells many of the garments and apparel produced in the country's many factories that Phnom Penh's Russian Market sells many of the garments and apparel produced in the country's factories - many of our Cambodia-made products are sourced from this market. Cambodia is a country in which electricity is both scarce and expensive so we've decided to focus on products that have been recycled. Our main line of products............
